Interactive brokers Is the brokerage I personally use and would recommend to beginner and intermediate traders. They have a free commission program for US stocks as well as an affordable fixed tier program. There have a $0 account minimum. You an account minimum of $2k US to have access to market data, the market data itself is fairly priced. They provide a free paper trading account to allow traders to familiarize themselves with the Trader Workstation Software provided by interactive brokers. Interactive brokers is a reliable brokerage that makes it easy to get started day trading and swing trading.

TRADER WORK STATION
(TRADING PLATFORM)
TWS contains everything a trader need to be successful. A clean looking ascetic with lots of customization to fit your tasted and trading style. The charts are simple but can be set up with multiple indicators. Personally I use TradingView In tandem with TWS while day trading. TradingView offers 1 Second, 5 second, 15 second time frames which are essentially for making decisions and quick trade exits. Interactive brokers shortest time frame is 30 seconds witch is still excellent for day trading and making quick entries and exits. The level 2 and time and sales is straight to the point and you are able to customize your desired color pallet.
HOTKEYS
Hotkeys are essential to day trading. They allow you to program commands such as "buy 100 shares at $0.02 below the Ask Price* Into a key combination such as "SHIFT+1". The say your watching a stock chart in TWS. you see a prime entry point tp get in at a dip. Instead of fumbling around trying to put together an order and end up missing the sip you simply press "SHIFT+1" and BOOOOM, you just bought 100 shares. These hotkeys can be programed to do just about anything when it comes to trading. They are great for getting into trades by they are ESSENTIAL for getting out of trades abd minimizing losses!!! SCANNER
Interactive brokers offers a basic scanner that can be programmed to your trading style. It is barebones but gets the job done and is an extremely hand window to have open on your trading platform. Personally, I use Trade Ideas due to its immense user customization. You can program unique scanners from hundreds of parameters to stocks that meet your exact criteria. It is truly amazing and one of the most important trading tools in my opinion as it allows traders to find stocks moving on volume prior to an exponential increase.
